AAAGP Highlights for GP & PHC Conference Melbourne 2009 Annual Members DinnerThe AAAGP annual Gala Dinner will be held at 7.30 pm on Wednesday 15 July at Walters Wine Bar. Registration is via the conference registration form. The prestigious Bridges-Webb medal will be awarded during the evening by Prof. Charles Bridges-Webb and the recipient will be invited to give a brief response. This evening is a popular event providing an excellent opportunity to network with some of Australia's finest researchers and academics within the general practice environment. Members $100 and non-members $120. Most Distinguished PapersTwo distinguished papers will be selected by a committee of AAAGP members from all abstracts submitted. These papers will then be presented during the AAAGP Plenary session from 9.30 am to 11 am on Thursday 16 July. Both presenters will receive a framed award. Best First Time PresenterMembers of AAAGP will judge all First Time Presenters who apply for this award. The winner will be presented at the closing of the conference with book vouchers to the value of $250 and a framed award. Download an application form. Applications close 20 June 2009. HOD Breakfast MeetingAAAGP is auspicing a Heads of Department breakfast meeting at 7.45am on Thursday 16 July, prior to the AAAGP Plenary. We will be holding it at an on-site venue to be decided. This room will have video and teleconferencing facilities so those who don't attend the conference can still attend this meeting. Members MeetingOur annual general members meeting will be held at 5.30pm on Thursday 16 July, immediately prior to the conference dinner at the Melbourne Aquarium. Members' attendance is strongly encouraged. There will be lively debate on a number of issues. We'll brief you on these closer to the date.
